My Travel Story

In November 2023, I was laid off from my job after only 7 months. I was devastated and had to move back in with my parents, almost 60 miles away from NYC where I was living. Now I spend approximately $70 in Metro North, subway, and taxi costs for each day I need to be back in NYC for private lessons and per diem classes I teach, frequently resulting in a net gain of a few dollars, or sometimes results in losing money when I teach free classes for underserved youth in Manhattan. Additionally, reliance on the hourly Metro North schedule means I am usually getting home at such a late hour that it effects my work ability the following day. I am looking to purchase a vehicle to help me get from the lower Hudson Valley to NYC. Something VERY small and used so I can easily park without risking accruing parking fees, and reliable.
