My Travel Story

When coming upon this opportunity I was ecstatic!! Majority of my work experience is with children. I absolutely love working with children and love seeing their progress. This volunteer trip will help impact my career by providing me with more knowledge on how to be adaptable, problem solve, and have strong communication skills. This trip will help me to build resilience, leadership, empathy, and cross-cultural communication. I can make a difference in their community by showing kindness. Helping the teachers with the children's learning will enhance their knowledge, as well as retain more information when information is coming from multiple people. This trip will solidify my passion for children. I know it will also give me a clearer insight on the impact I want to make in my community. Being a child's voice and helping them is the most important thing to me. I choose this destination because I have always wanted to come to Africa. I would like to dive into the cultural experience and really emerge myself into this trip. I am also bringing my daughter who as well loves and is really good with children. This is meaningful to me because she can experience a different culture. this trip is also meaningful to me as I am helping children, and the schools/daycares in need.
