My Travel Story

Hello. My name is Imani Robinson and I am a single mother of 2 beautiful daughters, Ayanna and Sanaa. Earlier this year we planned and booked a "Cousin's Trip" to Punta Cana with family. Our hope is to be able to do this annually with our children annually and create memories with them while they still want to spend time with us (smile). While our flights and trip have been paid, I do not have the extra money to set aside for things such as souvenirs, an excursion and, heaven forbid, any emergencies. The landlord at our last place of residence sold the home unexpectedly and we were forced to move with very little notice. We were fortunate enough to find a very comfortable home near family, however, the rent for our new home is much more than our last and in addition to the first month's rent and deposit, I had to pay over $1,100.00 for movers. We are still getting settled into our new home and after the stress of moving, this vacation would be a nice break from work for myself and my oldest daughter, Ayanna and give my youngest daughter Sanaa one last chance to relax before returning to school and sports in the Fall. Neither one of my children have been out of the country so they are especially excited to be able to spend a week with family in such an exotic and sunny location. I was fortunate to be able to go to Punta Cana with my sister and cousin a couple of years ago and fell in love with the island, people and culture! I am looking forward to being able to share that experience with my children but disappointed by the fact that due to our recent move, the $2,000.00 I had set aside to take with us have been depleted. We are leaving for our trip a week from tomorrow, Aug 6th adn returning August 12th. Any and all dontations would be greatly appreciated. God Bless and take care!
