My Travel Story

Hi there! My name is Sydney Connors and I recently graduated from Michigan State University (Go Green!) with my B.A. International Relations. During my time at MSU, I also completed minors in Business and Spanish, the latter of which was a somewhat stunted experience due to online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. 

My nana is from Spain and last summer I had the opportunity to visit my extended family, solidifying my desire to spend time living in Spain. Upon graduating in December, I quickly realized my desire to pursue a graduate degree abroad, specifically at a university in Spain. There are multiple MA programs I plan to apply to, including the International MBA program at the University of Valencia, and the MA Social Media and Corporate Communications at the Polytechnic University of Valencia.

In addition to a specialized education at an incredible university, this journey would provide me the opportunity to practice and perfect the Spanish I spent 4 years learning, and the chance to grow closer with my extended family. My dream is to open a travel advising company specifically tailored to providing curated experiences for young adults on a budget. I truly believe that the best way to learn is to explore the world and seek out experiences that open our minds and transform our perspectives. 

All this being said, I'm raising money for the costs associated with applying to and attaining my Master's degree in Spain. In addition to the standard living, application, and tuition costs, there are costs associated with securing a visa, translating my transcripts, language certifications, and getting my degree endorsed. I plan to apply in February of 2025, and attend in the fall of that year. Any donations are greatly appreciated!
