At 20, I never imagined my life would be defined by something like abdominal tuberculosis. Every day feels like a battle—between the pain, the treatments, and the constant reminder that my body isn’t the same. But through it all, there’s this pull inside me, this deep yearning to break free from the hospital rooms and sterile walls. I love mountains. There’s something about them—their stillness, their strength—that makes me feel small in the most comforting way. The way they stand tall and weather storms, yet remain rooted in the earth, makes me believe I, too, can find my footing again. I dream of going to Mount Abu, where the air is crisp and the silence is deafening in the best way. I’m not just seeking a change of scenery; I’m searching for something I’ve lost—maybe, up there, I can find the peace and clarity to heal, to face whatever comes next, and to rediscover the girl I once was before this illness took so much from me.
