My Travel Story

Hello, and thank you for taking the time to read my story. So, it says I have to write a compelling story so I can convince you to donate. I honestly don't think I will have to convince you. I am Ashley and from and native to San Diego, CA. I have worked hard my entire life and well nothing in my life has been easy. Anyways, my grandma raised me. She was and still is my everything. She always told me about her life growing up. She was born and grew up in New York City, NY, she was in acting class, starred in musicals, and movies (Fanny Hill Meets Lady Chatterly(1967), Have Gun - Will Travel(1957)), sat behind Marylin Monroe in acting class. Her father who she loved so much was one of two men that started the fur coat business. My grandma always waned to take me to NY and unfortunately was taken from me way to early. Iwasn't ready for her to go. We had plans and dreams together. She vwas my everything! She was and is the only person who just loved and cared for me unconditionally to this day. She passed away from Papillary Thyroid Cancer. I am telling you this because almost one year ago I was diagnosed with Papillary Thyroid Cancer with a positive BRAF. I since have had a major surgery that removed my whole thyroid along wih a lot of lymph nodes and radiation. I am terrified of the inevitable and just  really feel like I need to go to NY and see my grandmas house she grew up in and all the places she has been and told me countless stories about.. This is why I am reaching out for help. I have a couple hunded saved up but the cost of living and medical bills is through the roof and it doesn't look to promising I will be able to do this by myself unfortunately. I just want to not worry about something fo a week or two and do what I want to do for once. Honestly, just want to be selfish one time. Thank you again for your time it is very much appreciated.
