My Travel Story

This trip is going to expand my horizons - specifically to Europe, and even more specifically to France! Immersing myself in the French language and culture is going to help me make connections for teaching abroad and teaching English abroad - as is one of my future goals. But why France, than any other country? I've taken 4 French classes, and am still interested in learning more of the French Language - and the best way to do that is in the country the language originates from. I have been to Italy, Japan, and the Bahamas. These places have taught me so much, and France would only have so much more to teach me in the 37 days that I would be living and learning there. I plan on taking Survey of American History II With a French Twist and Cultural Anthropology: Diversity of France while there.

  • Season Of Giving

    Hey everyone! I got my passport in about a month ago, and received a bunch of great gear for Christmas from my family. My parents even paid for the optional excursions to Normandy and the Loire River Valley. If you wanted to gift me something, but couldn't think of anything - support and funds for this trip is a great idea! My first payment is due in March, and is half of the trip.

  • Passport Applied And On Its Way!

    I applied for a new passport two weeks ago because my old one expired in September. The grant application deadline is coming up, and I am beyond excited to begin really collecting money for this trip. If you can help out in any way, it is extremely helpful for me. My new passport should be here within the next week or so!
