I hope this message finds you in good health and spirits. I am writing to you on behalf of Pahala Rathmalgaha Wewa School, located in Anuradhapura District Medawachchiya, Sri Lanka. Our school serves approximately 250 students from economically disadvantaged families who rely on agriculture, particularly paddy cultivation and livestock farming, as their main source of income.

The primary aim of our outreach is to address a pressing issue that greatly affects the health and well-being of our students and staff: the lack of adequate sanitary facilities. Currently, our school has only two toilets—one designated for girls and one for boys—both of which are shared among the primary classes. Furthermore, these existing facilities are in dire need of repair, posing significant health risks to our school community.

During the rainy season, the situation becomes even more critical, as the condition of these facilities deteriorates further, making it exceedingly challenging for students and teachers to use them safely. Moreover, the absence of a dedicated toilet for our hardworking teachers exacerbates the problem.

To alleviate this urgent need and ensure a safe and hygienic learning environment for our students and staff, we are embarking on a project to construct two additional toilets and repair the existing ones. Additionally, we aim to establish a separate toilet facility exclusively for our dedicated teachers.

However, due to financial constraints within our rural community, we are unable to undertake this project without external support. That's why we are reaching out to compassionate individuals and organizations like yours for assistance. Your generous contributions will enable us to provide essential sanitary facilities that are crucial for the health, dignity, and academic success of our students.
