My Travel Story

Hello, friends and family,

I hope this message finds you well. I am reaching out to share my heartfelt desire to embark on a journey that is long overdue — a trip to Nigeria to reunite with my family after years of separation. Life has thrown its challenges my way, primarily my college tuition and regular living expenses like rent and bills, which have made it incredibly difficult for me to save up for this trip.
Growing up, my family was my anchor, and being apart from them has been one of the most difficult aspects of my college experience. We’ve shared countless memories, and I treasure every moment. However, since starting my studies, it has been nearly impossible to find the extra funds to make this journey a reality.
This journey is more than just a visit; it’s about reconnecting with my roots, sharing experiences, and cherishing the bonds that have shaped who I am today. I dream of hugging my family, sharing meals with my family, and hearing the laughter of my extended family like it used to be. My heart aches for the warmth and love of family that I have missed for so long. As I was placed for Adoption at a young age. My family took me in when nobody else wanted a child my age.
I am reaching out to you, my community, to ask for your support in making this dream come true. Your contributions will go directly toward my travel expenses, ensuring I can overcome this hurdle and finally be with my family again.
Every little bit counts, and your generosity will not only help me financially but will also mean the world to me. It’s not just about the journey. It's about the love, connection, and memories that I hope to create during this trip.
I also want to document how the communities and the people in each community are impacted and affected by the impact of not having access to good funded resources to be able to support and provide for their families and are suffering with getting the every day basic needs that they need to be healthy and to survive the challenges of their everyday life. Some are homeless and others live in poor housing and others have gave up because they think that they have no other choice or options. Yes the United States does help with fundings for many different things but apparently it is not enough. People deserve to have access to the best possible healthcare and education and food service and housing as the rest of the world population does and it's not just people in Nigeria but many other countries that need better resources that are easily accessible for those who need them. I want to bring awareness to this issue and problem and maybe we working together we can make a difference and make a better future for the children of today and the future

Thank you for considering supporting my dream of reuniting with my family in Nigeria. Your kindness will bring us one step closer to bridging the gap that time and distance have created.

                                        With gratitude,
                                         Michelle
