My Travel Story

Hello! I am Matthew Dominguez, I am from North Carolina and am currently a full-time student at Wake Technical Community College seeking my career in Business Administration. I currently have a 3.3 GPA while taking an average of 15 credit hours a semester.

I also participate in extracurricular activities as I am an avid member of FBLA-PBL totaling about 5 years, including high school and collegiate levels. During my membership, I have taken on roles such as secretary, vice-president, awards coordinator, and chief information officer. All of these roles were a blast and played a role in helping me learn what I wanted to do with my life.

While also being a full-time student I am a part-time employee at a bowling alley where I take over as a shift-manager when the owners are not in and handle the day-to-day tasks involving employee coordination, customer service, locking-up, and lots more.

Recently I have been given an opportunity to travel abroad to see another country, a whole new culture, and thought, “This would be a great chance to experience more to life than school and work while I still have the time.”

The opportunity handed to me was to go to Japan, a place I’ve always dreamed of going to, visiting major cities like Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka for about $4,000. This is something I want to do and after a long grueling convincing session with my mom, I was allowed to go. So, now that the hard part was over now I have to overcome the price of said convincing. I will work tirelessly to achieve this goal by diligently completing my school-work as well as saving up money from work.

Another aspect is gaining potential sponsors, such as yourselves, to my cause to help fund my trip as every little bit that will help alleviate the amount I must undertake. So, Thank you for considering helping me to achieve my goal!
