My Travel Story

My father moved back to the place of my birth and where he grew up & family all live after his marriage of 25 years to my step mother ended. All 3 of us kids were adults by then, he did his job,an a good job he did. So why shouldn't he be able to be where he will be happy to start a new life & find love again. I support him full in his decision. But I miss him terribly, it has been over 10 years since I've seen him. My father has become an old man& his mortality is becoming more and more of a reality. My father has always been an excellent parent,strict, but still amazing. I love and respect him more than words could say. I miss him. South Carolina is all the way across the USA & travel is expensive. I live in the Bay area & sometimes struggle to make all my bills plus kid related expenses. Everytime I save a little extra towards a trip, something comes up, my car needs work, our rent increased,my daughter is having a baby, my youngest was chosen to play on a traveling team for baseball, always something, holidays birthdays. I feel I'll never save enough. I also fear my father getting older and older and dying before I can see him.
