This is going to sound ridiculous... Believe me, I know.

My Travel Story

I know this is ridiculous, but I figured I try anyway. I just need a trip to the store (how embarassing). It's a couple of miles away from where I live and I don't have a car. Every penny that I get has to go towards legal fees to try to see my daughter again. You can view more about that here if you're interested. I tried walking home with groceries the other day and it was pouring down rain. The rain I could handle but the groceries were just too much. The cantaloupe, canned goods, fruit juice, milk etc. were all too much and I only made it a block before I had to go back and wait out the storm. I ended up having to just leave some of my food behind since it was too heavy to carry that far.
And bringing back just a couple of bottles of water is useless since I must also use the water to cook with. I tried using the water from the tap but it makes me physically ill and has a terrible taste and smell... I looked up ways to remedy this and boiling it was the only solution that I could afford. Bad thing is, I only have a pan and no pots, so most of the water evaporates before the 15 minutes is up. Doesn't matter, it still makes me sick. I also noticed that after the water has been boiled and dumped into a container to put in the fridge, that there is a thin crust that forms on the pan once it has cooled down and dried. It's pretty flaky when you scratch it. I even tried wrapping a shirt around the faucet first, as a filter, but that didn't seem to make a difference.
I also have a voucher for the Salvation Army to finally get some stuff for my apartment, but I have no way of getting there. That would be nice, too.

Well, that's all I really need. If you can help, great! If not, no worries. Thank you for reading this.

If I have to use this as an actual "travel trip" ...well, I've never seen the ocean. I always said I would go some day but it just never happened. Probably never will.
