7 Weeks Studying Medicine in Argentina this Summer
My Travel Story
The program places aspiring medical professionals alongside the experienced doctors and nurses serving these communities, covering specialties from pediatrics and surgery to mental health and physical therapy. The patients seen at this hospital often have limited access to healthcare, and volunteer support helps extend the care they're able to receive.
I'm a neurobiology student at UC San Diego heading into my junior year. Healthcare inequity is one of the defining challenges of our time, and this summer I want to learn from those working on the front lines of it — deepening my ability to serve patients who lack consistent access to care, and learning what it means to serve with humility and skill across cultures and languages.
Between work and savings I've covered part of the cost, but I still need help getting the rest of the way there. Even $5 makes a difference — and I'm grateful for anything you're able to give. I'll come back with Argentinian treats for you too.
Thank you so much for considering it.
