My Travel Story

Hello, my name is Tim and I am trying to raise the remaining funds needed to attend my nephew Caleb's graduation from the Air Force basic training program.  His graduation is set for July 16th and 17th.  My nephew is a very special person and a dedicated hard worker.  He is 20 yrs old and has had a goal for his life since he was little.  He is working to achieve that very goal.  He has always put others before himself and he truly deserves to have everything he wants out of life.  He hasn't had too many people in his life growing up.. he's had his mother, grandmother and myself, along with his brother and sister.  He and I have a really special bond and he has requested that I attend his graduation ceremony.  Two years ago, I was diagnosed with kidney cancer, had surgery to remove the tumor.  Since that time, I have been monitored for lung nodules on my right lung for growth.  I recently was diagnosed with Pulmonary Fibrosis which can be maintained, but cannot be cured.  I am unable to fly because of this diagnosis per my doctors, so I have to drive there and back.  It would mean the WORLD to him if I was there.  I have been cleared by my doctors to go.  I have not been able to work because of this diagnosis because breathing can be difficult during exertion, so funds have been a little hard to save up because I still have my living expenses to keep up.
The total I need to raise is $2,000.00 or at least get as close to that amount as possible.  This would be for the travel and lodging only.  I will be travelling over the course of two days there and two days back home.
I was hesitant on asking for donations because of what it's for, but currently, I do not see another way to ensure I can be there for my nephew's big milestone moment of his life.
I appreciate the time taken to read this as well as any and all donations made, your support means everything.  Thank You.
