I have been accepted to the ASU study abroad trip "London: Plague Pits and Body Snatchers: History of Health and Disease in a Global City" based on my academic standing and future goals and am so excited about the opportunity!

Student loans have covered a majority of my program costs and I received an additional $1000 from applying to scholarships. My remaining costs are for airfare and food and I need a little help with these.

If I surpass my monetary goal, extra funds will be used to pay for other students’ meals, pay for additional experiences, pay for the workdays missed as a result of traveling abroad.

“Students often cite participating in Global Education programs as the highlight of their academic career and a crucial moment in helping them gain a clearer view of the world, its peoples and the complex challenges facing us all.” -ASU

• This trans-disciplinary program explores London and the surroundings, with a day trip to Stonehenge. The emphasis is on the city as our classroom, exploring castles, museums, streets and parks to discover how the city's past and present are connected. Students will also participate in a unique behind the scenes tour of the British Museum. Some of the fields we draw on to do this include urban studies, history, global health, anthropology, science and technology studies, geography and bioarcheology.
