My Travel Story

Hi there,

as as you are probably wondering, why should you help me reach my goals and travel around America? Well. To be honest, that’s completely up to you, all I can do is explain why I want to do this and hope you understand, and wish to help me.

I’m from Yorkshire in the uk, I come from a working class family. We’ve never really had much in life and I have worked hard to get what I have now but sometimes you need to stop and ask for help which is what I’m doing now.

I have always wanted to travel around America and the cities included in this fund my travel are the few I wish to see the most. I’ve wanted to do this for so long that I’ve now got tired of waiting for another person to do this with, so... I’m going solo, my plan is to stay in hostels or air b n bs (which ever is cheapest for the places I am going) and see sights like the Golden Gate Bridge, the Grand Canyon, smithsonian museums, whale watching etc. If I can get a coach somewhere instead of a flight I will (like Washington to New York and New York to Washington) to bring down the cost of travel. If I could I would add Los Angeles, Miami, Orlando, and Philadelphia onto the list, i would like to stay in each place for 5-7 days or possibly longer depending on the area.

I truly feel like america is where my heart is at, I know that sounds weird and bizarre but I have been to america in the past and I have never felt so at home before, I felt calm, relaxed, and just like I fitted in like I had found where I really belonged.
My identity was completely stripped from me for 7 years by another person, and it’s taken me a long time and a lot of councilling to figure out who I am again and I’m still figuring it out and working on it, but I honestly feel like this is the way to do it, to help me find the rest of who I am and to grow into a better person for it. 
This has been thought-out with myself and I asked my mum and dad for help asking if I can actually do this. I have never been able to go on a trip like this and this. Me, my mum and dad talked for a long time about this, they have agreed to do what they can to help me and I am doing everything I can to possibly save as much as I can.

I am aiming to go next year which if people are able to help then I will be able to, if not, even if it takes me 5 years of saving to go, I will be going as this is my dream.
