My Travel Story

Our family hasn’t been on a vacation together in years. Life, responsibilities, and health challenges have kept us grounded. But this year—more than ever—we have a reason to hope, and a dream we’re determined to fulfill.
 
Our Dad, who just turned 86, has been through a very difficult time. He was in the hospital for quite a while and recently received a cancer diagnosis. Though he's now doing better and currently undergoing treatment, the journey hasn’t been easy. Through it all, he has remained strong, hopeful, and full of love for his family and the country where his heart still lives—Jamaica.
 
Dad’s biggest wish is to return home to Jamaica with our Mom (who turns 80 this December!) and the entire family—to celebrate Christmas and New Year's together, back on the island where it all began. It’s not just a trip for him. It’s a homecoming, a healing moment, and a final dream he hopes to see come true.
 
Our parents are both on a fixed income, and while the rest of us are doing everything we can to save for airfare and lodging, the costs—especially during the holiday season—are simply overwhelming. Roundtrip tickets for multiple family members, lodging for a large group, and potentially bringing a nurse to help care for Dad during travel adds up quickly.
 
We’re asking for your help to make this possible. Every donation—big or small—will go toward helping us cover travel, accommodations, and special care support to bring this dream to life.
 
Our hope is simple: to give our parents a joyful, peaceful, and memorable time in the place they love most, surrounded by the people who love them the most—family.
