My Travel Story

My purpose in life is to study the brain and help people with psychoneurological disorders. I was born in a small town in northern Russia into a poor family. But I always loved science and went to Moscow to study for free. I have been working in a laboratory for three years now and studying the genetics of schizophrenia. This year I am graduating from university and I am going to continue my studies in Germany. The internship in the Czech Republic will help me to learn additional methods of studying the brain and the genetics of rare diseases, which are necessary for further applying for an MSc in Neuroscience. This project is highly interesting for me, as it will be focused on the correct diagnosis and diagnosis of rare diseases like autism, mental retardation, and neurological disorders. And I want to be more proficient in these fields before studying abroad. I have been accepted to this internship, but, unfortunately, I do not have enough money to participate. Participating in this internship will help me learn new skills and increase my chances of entering the MSc program. This is very essential for my future career.
