After 3 long years apart, I’m raising funds to return to Shanghai — the city that shaped me, where my closest friends and chosen family live. This trip means closure, celebration, and reconnecting with a home that still holds my heart. 
In 2022, when Shanghai went into heavy lockdown, life changed overnight. I had to leave suddenly, without the chance to say goodbye to my friends, my community, and the city that saw me grow into the woman I am today.

Now, as I approach my 33rd birthday in February 2026, I feel called to return. I want to celebrate my birthday there, with my family and my best friend (whose birthday is on March 13!), and finally say a proper goodbye to the city that will always feel like my second home.

This trip isn’t just about travel; it’s about closure, connection, and gratitude. I want to relive those moments one last time, give thanks to the people who made Shanghai home, and bring that love and peace with me into the next chapter of my life.
