Please help me get enough money to move in with my son.
My Travel Story
About four years ago I went through a horrible divorce where she got everything, and I got nothing. Not to let her win I decided to leave that state and come back home to start a new job and start my life. I was hired at the new job and the only thing I had to do was pass the company physical. But when I went in to take the physical the doctor told me there was a problem with my heart that it was skipping beats. I was like yes right how a doctor is hearing my heart skipping beats. So, I went to another doctor and that doctor came in and said you have a severe problem, you need to see a cardiologist. She says, you do not understand you’re seeing a cardiologist tomorrow and she already made the appointment. I was totally taken off guard. I went to see the cardiologist the next day and they immediately started running tests. I had no insurance, no way of paying for this. By the end of that week, I was in the hospital, and they were placing a pacemaker in me. I went on and developed chronic. Then all of a sudden, my back starts hurting and I’m like what the heck. Come to find out I had damaged some discs in my back and had to have back surgery where the Fused L4 and L5 together. I've already had two scares with my life, 1 I had a bad reaction to my drugs and stop breathing and was life flighted to the nearest major hospital. The other one was right before I got my pacemaker my heart stopped. So I don't know how much longer I'll be on this earth. This has all taken place over the last three years. And still without a job or any way of making an income. I applied for Social Security disability, but they've been 23 months and the denied it. I'm trying to appeal it, but they say it'll be another five to six months before the decision will be made.
All I have left is my TV my laptop and my clothes and the small regenerator. Plus, my bed.
What I am trying to do is move down with my son and live with him. I have no more money, I sold my car months ago expecting the decision to be in my favor after somebody at Social Security told me it was in my favor.
Some of the move down with my son will cost 1750.00 dollars Plus fuel which I expected to be around $550.00 Food to eat over 4 days of the driving down there and I figured about $50 a day for food. Should be about $200. I did not figure in anything else because I can sleep in the truck. I want to rent the smallest U-Haul they have to drive down there. A normal person could probably drive it in a couple of days. But with my health condition I'm goanna have to stop and rest. Last thing I need to do is to kill somebody because I get too tired to drive.
I have worked all my life then never asked for anything from anybody, I have always been the giver. But now I've been put in a position with bad health, no place to live and the only thing I can think of is to go live with my son. I would try and ask him for the money, but he has a family of 5 and it's just getting by on a military salary. I'm not accustomed to asking for help but I am now. My goal is to get between 3000 to $4000 to move down there. If you can help, I would appreciate it. I haven't seen my grandkids in a long time. I racked my head trying to figure out a way to produce that kind of money. I've been redoing an antique that people have thrown away and trying to sell them but nobody's buying antiques. I'm hoping with a little bit of luck I can get the money together to move down there and finally settle down and stay with my son can work through this Social Security nightmare.
