My Travel Story

Hi everyone! I am beyond excited to have the opportunity to fulfill a lifelong dream of mine to travel to Tanzania for 2 weeks in the beginning of February 2025 to volunteer and assist at kindergartens and early childhood centers in low income areas (Arusha) where many families rely on their support while they go to work. Many of these centers lack adequate funds and resources to provide high quality child care to children that is needed to allow them to grow and learn. During my time inside of the kindergartens and childcare centers I will have the opportunity to provide support to the local staff and children by assisting with teaching, caring for the children during mealtimes and scheduled activities, along with having overall positive interactions and engagement with everyone inside of these local centers. I am currently raising money to help bring the biggest impact I can during my time in Tanzania and to reach as many children as I can by purchasing school supplies such as pencils and notebooks, first aid supplies, and games/activities for the children to engage with. While I plan on purchasing items in the United States before my trip, I also plan on purchasing a large amount of items for the children attending the childcare centers while in Tanzania to support the local economy and vendors. I truly appreciate your support and cannot wait to share this incredible journey with everyone!
