Hey everyone, my name is Maximiliano Casanova, and I'm writing to you from Humahuaca, a humble corner of Jujuy, Argentina. Ever since I was a kid, stars and microscopic life fascinated me. I always knew my path was in science, even though resources in my town are scarce.
With immense effort and sacrifice, working any job I could find and studying late into the night with the little light we had, I achieved something that seemed impossible: I graduated with a degree in Biotechnology. Every book was a treasure, every lab session a luxury. My professors saw my dedication and potential, and today, I'm on the verge of an opportunity that could change my life and, I hope, contribute to the world.
I've been offered the chance to participate in a research project in Spain, at a top-tier laboratory. It's a unique opportunity to apply everything I've learned and continue growing in my passion. But there's a huge obstacle: I don't have the financial resources to cover flights, accommodation, and basic living expenses for my stay. And what's most distressing is that time is running out: I have this month to confirm my participation.
I know it's an enormous challenge, but I refuse to give up. The thought of my dreams being shattered due to a lack of funds is heartbreaking. That's why, with my heart in my hand, I'm asking for your urgent help. Any contribution, no matter how small, will bring me closer to fulfilling this dream and representing my country and my town in something that truly matters.
