My Travel Story
My name is Marion Hartman and I am 16, I am starting this page to help fund my food rescue volunteering trip to Lisbon Portugal. I am doing this through the Internation Volunteering HQ.
How will this impact your education?
This opportunity will help me gain volunteering hours and help me further my learning of new languages.
What makes this meaningful for you?
My parents were divorced when I was young and I primarily live with my brother and my dad. It is a struggle for my family to have the resources to do my passions as well as daily life. This campaign is to help my single father have less stress due to financial difficulties.
How will you make a difference in the community?
Through the International Volunteering HQ, I will help underprivileged families, the elderly, and children by recovering food from local establishments and transporting the food to them.
Why are you passionate about this project?
Over my sophomore year, I volunteered at my local neighborhood house and loved helping my community. In this opportunity, I helped prepare food and serve it to the elderly. This experience helped me grow as a person and as I continued doing more volunteer work it became a passion of mine.
