I have an amazing opportunity to participate in this year's Physical and Occupational Therapy Abroad trip to Chiang Mai, Thailand! I will work every day with local DPT's and organizations to help children in need who have specific disabilities. The Physical Therapy side of it covers clinical work that helps open the children's range of movement and relief of pain. The Occupational side of it then moves from the clinic into daily life and accomplishing tasks that weren't even imaginable before. This experience will help my future aspirations of becoming not only a Physical Therapist, but one specializing in adaptive therapy and special needs rehabilitation. I have a drive to help those who are most in need, but have the least accessibility to those resources that would help the most. I am now in need of help to fund this trip to get to those children in need. Any amount of donation is appreciated and will help immensely!
