Marine conservation & diving
As the title implies, this project is to essentially revive the oceans by conservation methods. The funding for this project will directly go to me taking part in voluntary work in Fiji for the duration of 3 months. Marine zoology is a huge interest and passion of mine and by taking part in this project I will be fulfilling a huge part of my life. I believe that the young generation of today is the last chance the world has at changing and responding to global problems like global warming, coral bleaching, shark finning, seismic air gun testing and the expansion and growth in population and so by my my contribution, I wish to inspire and drive more people to become aware of the growing issues that are of massive consequence. As animal extinction is still increasing I believe that by helping in any form will create a better chance for life on earth in the future. In my life I would like to know that I have made a positive contribution into changing some of these issues and making the the regenerating the world back to its sustainable level once more. From my perspective, helping those who cannot voice their opinion is the right thing to do, as I'm sure if they could, there would be much to be said at what we are all doing wrong.
This will be my first experience in taking part in a project of this calibre, and I'm extremely eager to take part. This project will not be the first and certainly it will not be wasted as I want to spend the majority of my life taking part in conservation efforts and spreading news, problems and successes of joint efforts. The knowledge and experience that I will learn from the trip will be extremely useful for when I return to university and shortly after finishing university, I will go on to take part in many more projects like this one.
I have set up this funding page to receive external help as it is hugely appreciated and will go directly helping me get out in Fiji.
