I hope this message finds you well. My name is Llyod Gildeus Bautista, and I am reaching out to you today with a heavy heart, seeking your support for my daughter, Angela F. Bautista, who is currently facing a severe medical crisis.

 

Angela was born on July 3, 2007, and after her first year, she was diagnosed with epilepsy, which required her to maintain regular medication. Despite this, she grew up to be a normal, healthy child—attending school, doing household chores, and playing with her friends. To help cover her medical expenses, I worked abroad to support her treatment and also to provide for the education of my other children.

 

However, on May 15, 2023, our world turned upside down when Angela suffered a severe seizure. Shortly after recovering from COVID-19, she went into a coma and remained unconscious for over a month. After numerous tests and examinations, we discovered that she had experienced a severe seizure inside her brain. When she finally regained consciousness, she was unable to speak and became totally bedridden. She was diagnosed with Status Epilepticus, Focal Epilepsy, Structural Hyponatremia, and Secondary SIADH.

 

Currently, Angela is no longer able to attend school, and she is completely dependent on us for care. She takes 9 different types of medication daily, and her condition requires regular lab tests to monitor her sodium levels, which determine the dosage of her medication. The costs of her treatment and medication are overwhelming, and we are struggling to keep up with the expenses.
