Hi ,Im fundraising for my trip to south Africa next june to go and volunteer on a wildlife rehabilitation centre!

As a zoology student at the Univeristy of Liverpool I wish to undertake a volunteer placement aborad working at a wildlife rehabilitation centre in South Africa as not only has a life changing experience like this been something I've wanted to do my whole life, I also believe it was enhance my degree massively. Im very fortunate to be given this opportunity and I hope that while Im there I will be able to benefit the local community and wildlife by assisting in veterinary care and providing aid to sick, injured and orphaned animals in need , as conservation has always been an important topic to me.

The volunteers at the shelter are incredibly important in maintaing the day to day care of residents at the shelter, whether that be caring for cheetas, leopards, honey badgers or owls. In additon the centre also play a key role in educating local people and communities on the importance of conservation. Moholoholo are very successful at building relationships with local communities which aids in human-wildlife conflict mitigation.

Although Im only going for 2 weeks I believe that the experinces and connections gained will be invaluable .
Thank you
