My Travel Story

by: Akintunde Ayinde Start Date: Aug 18, 2023 - End Date: Dec 17, 2023
I'm raising money for my mum's funeral. I spoke with her on the morning of July 18th, 2023 and she sounded ok. She prayed with me and hang up the phone which is unusual because we normally talk for 10 minutes minimum, but it was different this day cos we only spoke for 2 minutes only to receive another call from her around 6 hours later that she's dead. I nearly collapsed hearing the news, all thanks to my wife who was with me at this hard time.

I lost my job last July as an Travel Advisor with Vacations To Go here in Houston, TX, and I've been job hunting ever since and yet to get another one since. I struggle to pay my bills otherwise, I won't be setting up this campaign.

The donation will go towards funeral arrangements and travel expenses because she's in Nigeria and I'm in Houston, Texas USA.

I pray that we will not lose our loved ones untimely and we will all live to our full potential with gray hair IJN, amen. My mum was 77 years old when she passed but she never look her age.
She's my bestfriend, my mentor and my confidant and I will miss her so much. Today marks exactly 30 days thatmy mum passed and I still haven't been able to travel down to Nigeria to pay my last respect. My junior brother has been so devastated since her demise and I've been so depressed. I spoke with a therapist recently that advised me to travel down home to spend time with my siblins and mourn together. She said this will really help me recover from this depresion and keep me going.
I need you help in footing these bills, please help me so i can pay my last respect and in the process, get back on my feet so I can come back to being the sweet dad my 6 year old son and 4 year old daughter used to call me because, since the incedent, I've been a little bit inactive in my responsibilities to them as a father and husband to my very supportive wife.

My United Kingdom visit is to go and see my elder brother who could also not go home to pay his last respect due to funding. The last time he saw my mum was in 2008 and he's been crying uncontrolable since her demise. Spending time with him and mourning her together will really help us heal together.

Give a little help, to a motherless chile. That little help can make him smile forever.

Thanks for your help and God bless you all.

May her soul rest in perfect peace. June 22nd, 1946 - July 18th, 2023
