My Travel Story

Hi!! Thanks for checking out my fundraiser! 
I’ll start by telling you a little bit about me. I’m a single mom of four sons. I worked my way through college as an older student by opening a small construction business. I was finally able to graduate in 2016 just before I turned 40 years old. After I graduated, I was able to secure a state job and still work at the same job. Although I have one of the most hated positions for the state (child welfare), I love the work that I do. Helping families and children everyday is very rewarding and I’m passionate about it, but the hours are long and it’s extremely stressful. 
My own family is always my number one priority. The videos above give you a glimpse of our lives. We always try to find a little fun and get in travel time when we can. We all have an adventurous spirit! 
My oldest son will graduate in 2020. This will likely be our “last real family vacation.”  A vacation where I still have all of my sons with me out to explore the world. I want to celebrate his achievement and all of their accomplishments and also be able to “show them the world” at least one last time all together. 
You may or may not know that a state job works you to death for very little pay (benefits are good though!
