Habari my name is Gebby. I lived in Tanzania for two years and it changed my life. I am from New Orleans originally. During the pandemic I decided to go on a spiritual journey. I ended up  spending time among  amazing people making a difference in thier communities.  I made new family and friends for life. They are doing the best with what they have. I also got in touch with nature and farming as I left the city of Dar Es Salaam and went to live in the Usamabaras mountains. The people of Tanzania are industrious, talented and  hard working people. They are resilent and resourceful. I have 3 projects in which the common denominator is farming. The first is  with a Pastor and his wife who run an NGO impacting over  200 local children. It is amazing how much they do with so little. I would like to help them get establish a community center for the children. They also have farm land they would like to develop to fund the NGO. My second project  is with a traditional herbalist who cured himself from diabetes. His herbs also helped me when I fell sick. He has his own line of herbal products. I would like to help him expand his business. He is growing his own herbs. He  owns farm land which he is cultivating to grow medicinal herbs.  Third is a young man I met in the Usambaras mountains. He is a school teacher and the village midwife. He has been delivering babies since he was 15 years old. I would like to help him establish a birthing center. He has a lot of farm land and he would like to develop it to help fund the center. We will establish a healing refuge community.
