My Travel Story

Would like to travel to Portugal by car (from Romania) to volunteer in 3 self development centers/communities based on healing, meditation, yoga, family constellations, and non-violent communication. Found the experience through Workaway platform and managed to talk to one of them until now where I am accepted to go as a volunteer.

Finished Psychology (Ba and Ma) and in the past years, I've been involved in an NGO in the Netherlands working with international people from all around the world which is focused on trainings and youth programs through Erasmus+. Saw the impact it had on me (got to have a hands-on attitude in the situations I'm in, could speak my mind easily, managed to control anger and fear, connecting better with the loved ones and nourishing the relationships I have in my life) and others around me. Noticed how such events have an impact on myself and the community around me.

The mission I'm committed to now is to expand my knowledge, know-how and meet people from all around the world who are already running a center like this as a way of living. As well finding the place where I could develop these initiatives through my own ideas of Erasmus+: seeing how other centers are operating/ functioning and which would be a good area to initiate these activities.That's why I started a Workaway platform and my first stop is Portugal.

I chose Portugal as a destination to try out (culture, place, people) since I've been informing myself on the quality of life there, finding out the country itself is being international-friendly and not very expensive. As well, I'm in contact 2 people with who I collaborated in the past who are on their way of opening their NGO there, then meeting them up is another bullet on my list... 

The travel itself is 800 euros to go and come back. Will need an amount to travel around the places, therefore would like to ask a donation close to 1000 euros. Would be very grateful to receiving support in it. All the work I'm doing at the centers are volunteering-based, therefore any kind of support (as travel) is very welcome. Thank you very much.
