My Travel Story

by: Daniel Neville Start Date: Jul 20, 2017 - End Date: Apr 19, 2018
I frickin love traveling. Ever since I was a kid my family and I would go on trips almost every summer. We were always tight on money so we could never go far enough to leave the country and we would always look for free activities and cheap food. Even so, these trips were the best times of my life. I don't really care where I go, as long as I'm traveling, I'm happy. Traveling also gives me an opportunity to see how other people live their lives. It gives me a taste of what they experience every day and I love looking at things from other people's perspectives. Experiencing new things is my favorite way to grow. That's why this spring, I plan on traveling out of the United States for the first time. In the spring semester of 2018 I will be studying abroad in Leiden, Netherlands with Webster University. I am so excited I can barely stop thinking about it and it's still 5 months away! One of the requirements to do this, however, is to prove that I have enough money to live over there for the whole semester. That's why I'm looking all over the place for any scholarships I can find. Because going to Leiden will be a dream come true. I've always wanted to visit Europe just because of the density of it. So much to see in so little space. When I travel in the United States, I drive for 11 hours and I barely cross Kansas. When I drive for 11 hours in Europe I've crossed 4 countries and half the continent!  Needless to say, it would be amazing.  Also, I will be making videos (Like the one I linked to this campaign) and taking pictures while I'm there.  The videos will go on my YouTube in case you wanted to see what I'm up to!
