My Travel Story

Well, first of all, we never though we'd be in this situation where we need help, so we are extremely grateful for a platform like this. It pains us to have to do this, but here we go...
We met on Instagram in 2017. We were just friends and it deveoped into something special as time went on. With me living in Canada and her living in Africa, it seemed like we were crazy to even attempt to have a relationship, but after lots of prayer, we decided to give it a shot! Faith is the evidence of things hoped for and the assurance of things not seen. Right?
We were on track to meet in person in the spring of 2020, and I don't have to tell you what happened next. Covid messed up our plans and while we still kept the faith, we didn't have a clue how we were going to meet up. Then, in the fall of 2020, we just went for it and I flew to Ghana to meet her in person for the first time. Love knows no bounds! We met and were married a couple of days later. We know, crazy right? Well, that's when the immigration nightmare began, and aside from me flying to see her last summer, we haven't seen each other since. Her immigration application was rejected and we were heart broken...
We've launched an appeal but it's going to take at least another year, and our funds have dried up due to all of the extra expenses we never saw coming.
Which brings us to why we're here.
I'm working full time but just can't seem to get ahead. She has a business venture but it's still relatively new so her funds are very tight.
And we miss each other terribly!
After a lot of prayer and thought, we decided that meeting in El Salvador is where we should aim. Lots of reasons, but the big one is that it's warm, and since the eradication of the MS13 gangs, and the adoption of Bitcoin as the currency of El Salvador, it just seems like the perfect place to meet again and really have some time together while we explore the possibility of relocating there.
We realize that this isn't a missionary trip, or a big business venture, and why would anyone want to help us since there are so many other needy people in this world. But we love God and want to be a light in this dark world, wherever that might be, and we know that two are better than one, so why not give it a shot!
If you're a romantic at heart, and want to bless us, we are trusting that God will lead you. God bless you no matter what!
