My Travel Story
My wife and I need your help:
Can you help us-or do you have any ideas/suggestions?
Barbara, my wife, and I want to go to Chicago, IL for our 60th Wedding Anniversary this year.
Honestly, since we lost our home in Arizona with the housing crash of 2008, money is a big issue.
We now live in section 8 senior housing in Arroyo Grande, CA. We have no savings and live on Social Security paycheck to paycheck. I am 80 years old, and work is out of the quest with the lung disease I have.
Since I am a VietNam Honor Grad Air Force Veteran, I was curious as to how I can obtain the money we need for this dream Anniversary trip.
This is NOT easy for me to ask, but it is the very truth. It is embarrassing, but if you don't ask, you never know.
Do you have any other ideas?
It is still sad that Judi, our daughter, is gone due to cancer at 44 years old.. You never get over the loss of your child.
My wife and I were born in Chicago, IL. We went to Lloyd and Mozart grammar schools. We met at Kelvyn Park High School when we were both on the Kelvyn Park Newspaper staff. We were both admitted to the National Honor Society and Quill and Scroll.
We need your help, if you can-or have ideas for us.
