Becoming a commercial pilot
My Travel Story
I am about to graduate from a technical school, where I have spent the past seven years specializing in mechanics. I am considering applying to the Military Aviation School (EAM) in Córdoba, where I would commit to a four-year program to earn my pilot's license. Unfortunately, due to financial constraints, pursuing a private pilot's degree is not feasible for me, as the costs range from $5,000 to $25,000 USD.
To prepare for the physical and written exams required for entry into the EAM, I have been working very hard. Despite my naturally tall and slender build, I have been dedicated to improving my physical fitness through regular gym sessions and the use of supplements, resulting in significant progress. However, I am aware that the competition is fierce, and there is a possibility that I may not be accepted into the program.
My parents have been incredibly supportive, but I am conscious of the financial strain they have already endured. My mother, who is diabetic, works as a secretary, and my father is an electrician. I also contribute financially through various jobs, but the income is insufficient to cover the high costs of pilot training. I am determined not to burden my parents further, as they have already made significant sacrifices for me.
Fortunately, I have completed a six-year English course, which I believe will be invaluable in pursuing a career in aviation. However, I am reaching out to explore potential alternatives and seek advice on how to continue working towards my goal, should I not be accepted into the EAM.
My ambition is to make my parents proud and one day repay them for all they have done for me.
Thank you for taking the time to read my message. I look forward to any assistance you can provide.
