My Travel Story

Hello friends!
For those of you who don't know me, my name is Alyse Lo. I am currently a senior at Western Carolina University with a major in Communication Sciences & Disorders with a minor in Special Education. I also plan to further my education by attending graduate school to get my Master's in Speech Language Pathology. As an aspiring SLP, my goal is to be able to work with children with special needs, communication disorders, or specific language impairments in public school settings.
This summer I will be traveling to Belize for a study abroad program specifically in my field where I will have the opportunity to help children with special needs along with their families. I will also have the opportunity to work alongside ASHA accredited SLP's to gain observation hours which will better prepare me for my future graduate studies. But most of all, I will get the opportunity of a lifetime traveling the world and doing what I love!
I am reaching out to my family and friends because I am in the process of raising money to fund my travels to Belize this summer! This opportunity is very important to me and I will get the chance to make memories that I will never forget.
