We are the Sandić family—passionate explorers and a family of five united by a love of nature and discovery. Over the past decade, we’ve turned our globetrotting dreams into a shared family voyage, touching lives and learning from the rich tapestry of cultures that adorn our planet.

Twenty-five years ago, the spirit of scouting brought my husband and I together, and it's this same spirit that guides our family today. With our three lovely and lively daughters—aged 12, 10, and 5—we embark on journeys that are more than just travel; they are an education in love, life, and the beauty of nature.

Each trip is a chapter in our ongoing story of growth and adventure, fostering a fearless approach to life and an appreciation for the goodness found in people everywhere. This summer, we’re gearing up for our most ambitious expedition yet—a 2,600 km cycling adventure from Serbia to Sweden over 65 days, because we want to pass through the heart of Europe including Budapest, Bratislava, Vienna, Dresden, Berlin, Copenhagen, and Gothenburg. This route will weave us through diverse landscapes and historic cities, each with its own story.

Our previous journey in 2022 took us from Serbia to Switzerland, a 1,300 km voyage that deepened our bonds and enriched our souls. Even with our youngest daughter in a trailer, we embraced every challenge and joy. This time, we are better prepared but need your help. We aim to purchase waterproof saddlebags, offering far superior protection for our belongings at a good price of about €500 for the entire family.

Additionally, we need a lighter, multi-fuel burner that can use petrol, diesel, and gas, priced at around €250. These upgrades will significantly enhance our mobility and comfort on the road. Moreover, to ensure everyone can join in pedaling, we are also planning to acquire a robust second-hand bicycle, estimated at just €700, further enhancing our travel capability.

We need to upgrade our gear to include tandem bike extension with "Follow Me" system for hanging for our spirited 5-year-old Iskra, ensuring she can pedal along when energized, and rest when she needs to. Additionally, we require a reliable dynamo for charging our devices on the go, keeping us connected and safe. The total cost for these essential upgrades is about €1,200.

For the first time, all five of us will keep personal diaries throughout our travels. This project will provide a richer, more diverse perspective compared to our last journey's manual, which was penned solely by my husband.

Higher quality equipment will enhance our travel comfort significantly, reducing downtime and the energy spent on managing logistical challenges. This means more time for writing, producing videos, and engaging meaningfully with local communities and our online followers. We aim to create a series of documentaries that capture the essence of the places we visit, alongside hosting forums and family workshops. These initiatives will focus on promoting outdoor activities, boosting self-confidence, and fostering a deep connection with nature among both young people and adults.

This ripple effect of motivation and change is what we hope to expand even further.
