Hello, I am a 15 year old girl who has grown up loving something really much. Ever since I was very little I have loved animals beyond anything else, if I ever had a chance to volunteer or help them I would take it without a second thought. I have had animals all throughout my life and with this little push I became an avid animal lover with a goal. I was going to become a veterinarian. I work hard to make sure I will get there. And couldn't wait until I was of proper age to start volunteering at my local animal shelters and hospitals. Sadly the time has been moving really slowly and now I am 15 and pissed out of my mind that I can't volunteer anywhere animal related.

Now that I have told you my back story, I will let you know what I am asking the money for. This past summer I saw an add on my phone that made me cry tears of joy, happiness, just overwhelming feelings came rushing in. This program called LoopAbroad offers a 2-week summer program where you can fly to Thailand with a small group and volunteer at an elephant rescue as well as assist on neuter surgeries at a dog rescue. In the two weeks that this program will be abroad I would get 72 Veterinary Hours and 8 research hours that I could use when applying for my veterinary college. This is not only a great experience for my veterinary career but also a wonderful way of giving back to the animals who we as the human race exploit and endanger. I went to my mom with as happy as can be and told her all about it and then she looked at me sadly and said that's all great but what about the price. The price... I had forgotten about the price! I went to check the price and my heart had instantly dropped, a whopping $5,000. She sighed and said that there would be no way we could afford it. We aren't a rich family,in a household of 3 kids and many animals both my parents work really hard just to make ends meet. I started crying, my heart and soul had been broken, but I wasn't going to give up on my new found dream just yet. I knew that I would work really hard to make sure that I would reach my new goal.

So here I am asking all of you for your help. I don't work, there's no place around me that would hire a 15 year old. This is all I want for Christmas, New Years, Easter, Valentines Day, as well as my sweet 16 birthday gift and any and every other holiday known to man. I want to be able to have this wonderful experience of helping animals stand back up and thrive just like they are meant to. I understand that this isn't a typical case to where you would donate to but every little bit counts, and I will keep every single one of you in my prayers and will be more than just grateful. I thank all of you ahead of time and wish all the best to all of you!
