GALA 2016 was such a life affirming and life changing experience. I am budgeting carefully to afford the trip but would be so thankful for your support of even just a few dollars. I have so much to share about my chorus and my experiences and look forward to getting to share my memories of past festival, how 2020 festival was cut short, and how 2024 is a second chance.

  • Going To GALA 2024

    GALA 2024 is going to be a wild ride. There should be over 5000 singers there representing choruses from all across the globe. One specific goal I have is to be able to represent Baltimore and the city and community I live in. My chorus is a great example of great people who work together to make the world a better place. We can't do it without each other.

    Some of these expenses I can handle myself but your support is truly appreciated.

    What is GALA 2024?
    GALA Choruses is a collection of hundreds of queer choruses from around the world. Every four years they hold a festival for singers to get together and perform, showing their hometown pride and the magic that happens when people come together.

    My chorus will be the only delegation from Baltimore and we are very proud to represent.

    We need spaces where people like us are lifted up and given the love we deserve......even if just from each other. For some its one of the only safe spaces they have every 4 years. For some its the only place they can sing with people like them in their lives. For some it means everything.

    We will be traveling to Minneapolis in Summer 2024. I hope to have tons of updates for everyone over the weeks and months. I'll be sharing some memories of GALA 2016, what was going to be 2020, and what I hope to come in 2024.
