Ever since I was young and living in Mexico City, I have volunteered whenever I can. (Building houses for families, Helping out in Animal shelters, and much more). I do this because I have seen first-hand the difficulties in my country and I care about my country a lot! I want to help make Mexico a better place as I love my culture and people. This is why I chose the sustainable agriculture project in Mérida, Yucatan. I want to help local farmers get the most out of their land and be able to have more efficient systems so they can pay bills and send their children to school! But, getting to Merida is a bit difficult since I am only 19 and work a minimum-wage job, So I would really appreciate the help!
