Help support me in Volunteering in South Africa, teaching children English! I've done years of volunteer work, especially with children and have fallen in love with the fulfilment and purpose it brings to my life, all while giving back to our communities.
As a third year Biology student at Acadia University with hopes to continue into a SLP master's program, the opportunity to volunteer in South Africa is a dream and experience like none other. Not only would it provide me with an amazing foundation to the world of speech, but also leave me with a skillset that I couldn't acquire from any classroom.
Volunteers are crucial to many communities all around the world, and as an able individual I am excited & eager to start this journey.
I will be attending this program along with my friend and fellow Biology Major at Acadia, Laura. South Africa will be our first of what we hope to be many, volunteer abroad programs, and can't wait to be part of something so important and change/ impact the lives of others, all while they do the same to ours!
