My Travel Story

My name is Joanne Yeung. I am a pre-med student at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. In June 2019, I will be going to GAP Medics in Croatia, Europe for 2 weeks. GAP Medics is a clinical shadowing program for pre-med students. This program is designed specifically for pre-med students wanting to gain first-hand experience of hospital medicine and surgery, under the mentorship of real experienced Medical Doctors. During my time there, I will be placed as a disciple under top specialists in hospitals. As I will be staying there for 2 weeks, the total cost of living is around $3350 (not including flight). This shadowing will make my resume and application stand out in medical schools. As a freshman in college, I believe that this experience will be extremely valuable and irreplacable. I feel that this internship will enhance my ambitions in pursuing my dreams of becoming a doctor. Any amount is more than enough. Thank you.
