My Travel Story

Dear Family and Friends,

I’m fundraising to give my twin sister an early surprise birthday present and I need your help!

My twin sister’s name is Ardya. She works as a primary school teacher here in Jakarta, Indonesia, and she’s one of the most passionate teachers I have ever known. Watching her strive, grow with her students, and adapt to new ways of teaching online has been very inspiring, and my heart swells with pride for her!
I know that she has been saving to travel to Vermont, where the Family Von Trapp Lodge is located (we grew up watching and listening to The Sound of Music), but it has been especially hard since we need to support our parents, too, who got into a financial setback after many failed projects due to the pandemic. This year, I want to help her make this dream a reality!

Our birthday is on April 17, and my goal is to get her there on her birthday and thus give her the much-needed two-week break to explore the place of her dreams! The funds needed would cover the plane tickets, visa fees, accommodations while she’s there for two weeks, food, and the Government-required hotel quarantine upon returning to Jakarta.
