My Travel Story

Studying abroad is such an amazing opportunity to gain knowledge and experiences, how could I pass it up?! I am planning on attending Massey University in Palmerston North, New Zealand for my 5th semester (Fall 2018) of my undergraduate degree. There I will be studying mathematics, as applied mathematics is my major at my home school, SUNY Polytechnic Institute in Utica, NY. Mathematics is a universal language, known and understood all across the globe. I believe that this experience will teach me new ways of learning, understanding, and using mathematics. I chose the destination of New Zealand, more specifically Palmerston North campus, for many reasons. First and foremost, travel. Palmerston North is fairly close to many hiking destinations which is something that I truly enjoy doing and plan to do while abroad. During the semester I am planning on exploring the north island of New Zealand and it is a MUST for me to visit Hobbiton, where the Lord of the Rings Trilogy was filmed. Secondly, New Zealand is a destination that my late grandfather had always wanted to visit. His recent passing has really motivated me to accomplish my goals (especially this one) and experience everything that I can in this lifetime. I hope he is right there with me through everything so he too can enjoy New Zealand through my eyes and adventures. 

Please help me fund this amazing (and expensive) journey to expand my education in New Zealand!!

    I have been accepted to both universities in New Zealand. I have decided to attend Massey University.. It's official, I'M GOING TO NEW ZEALAND!!!!
