Ciao a tutti (hi everyone)!

I have applied for, and been accepted to, a 4-week study abroad program in Florence, Italy. Italy has always been a place I have wanted to visit due to my heritage and I know it's going to be a life-changing experience that will result in personal growth. While in Italy, I will be taking a course titled, "Comparative Healthcare Systems," which aligns with my academic and career goals as a biology major at Lenoir-Rhyne University. 

Since the program will be over the summer, I am not eligible to apply for financial aid to help cover the costs and will need to rely on money that I earn between now and depature, which won't be much since I have a busy academic schedule and can only work over the summer. I have applied for a scholarship from my university's international office and have received $500. This will help offset the costs associated with my program, but I will still be in need of financial assistance to pursue this dream without taking on too much debt.

    My program coordinator just informed me that we get to participate in a pasta making cooking class. I'm so excited about this since I am a huge pasta lover.
