My Travel Story

Hello to all who read this! 

I am raising funds to visit my Daughter who lives interstate. Unfortunately I do not have the funds to make rent at the same time as paying for flights and accommodation, and so am looking for a little extra support. 

My trip would be for 8 days in Februaury. 

These a very important visits and are paramount in helping my Daughter and I cultivate and grow our connection. Given that we manage our relationship from far away, I am trying to put in as much effort and time as possible to make monthly visits, so that my daughter can feel supported, loved, and as through she is worthwhile. She is, and she deserves to know it! 

We have been through a lot of trials and tribulations together. We have overcome a lot, but there is still much healing to do. I want to do the best I can to be present for my daughter and support her in building her confidence, self worth, and just as importantly, make the time for us to enjoy life together as and create joyful memories. We connect and create adventure through art, painting, storytelling, playing, and going to the bush/forest to look for fairies. I use the games and activities that my daughter loves as a way to help her understand that what she loves and hopw she expresses herself is one of the most valuable and important things. The more opportunities I have to do this, the better chance she has at developing the confidence and carriage to be herself, and to shine her light brightly!

I presently work two jobs, one in Mental Health support, and the other in Arts and Culture. Even with these two jobs I unfortantely stuggle to scrape by with rent, food, bills and other life exprenses. I do not want these factors to affect my ability to be present in my daughters life (although they have). I also do not want these challenges to be the obstacle that takes away valuable bonding time. Time is precious.

I would be hoping that this funding campaign can become semi consistent - something that I can draw on in times where I am needing to visit my daughter, but am unable to afford it. Of course I will always be using my own funds where I can.

I am calling on the generosity of community and those in a position to help. Your support is greatly appreciated and my gratitude is overwhelming. 

Know that I will pass on the genorisity to my community in ways that I am good at, as I love to give and support as much as I am open to receiving support as well.
