My Travel Story

I am a full-time student with a part-time job who loves to learn about culture and embraces being the odd one in a crowd and observing what is around me. I plan on studying in Seoul, South Korea to get an understanding of the political and humanity issues dealing with North Korea.

I hope to one day be able to help those who have fled from North Korea to South. I want to help them transition to all the freedoms that I have the priveledge of having while growing up in the US and how it helped me to be a kind and open individual. But, until that day comes, I plan on showing those who have fleed from North Korea, just what life is about. I want to show them what their old country striped them of.

I feel like I am so passionated against this because I believe every person should be able to not fear for their lives and should be able to say and do what they want as long as it is morally okay. I think it is morally wrong to suppress people and mind-control them into believing false facts about the world around them. 

I am not saying that the United States is this best place on Earth and that there are no states that are better. I know that to be false. What I am saying is that the United States provides its citizens the freedoms that are either lacking or just not present in other countries and I want to help people have such freedoms. The United States have laid a lot of foundations for so many successful countries dealing with freedom, so I believe the United States to be like that one friend that you always go to for help and they deliever. 
I want to be that person. I want to be a delieverer of help.

All this starts with a dream, with a plan. The first step of my plan is to study abroad in Seoul, South Korea to get the closest thing to helping these individuals currently. I will be able to learn the language and the culture and be able to communicate with individuals fleeing from North Korea.
Please support this dream. Please help me give someone freedom one day. I will be forever grateful to all who support this cause and who support me by helping me fund this study abroad trip.
