My Travel Story

To fly far, far away.

Sometimes in your life you reach a point where you need to explore, to dream, to experience new things. This is my story:

Imagine the life of a 23-years-old Spanish student, whose life is monotonous: Studying, eating, sleeping, studying.
The clock ticks, the time goes by, and my need of travelling far away is limited by these walls that oppress me. I will explain you what happens:

My life is complex: I study a very very technical degree: I spend my days calculating things, memorizing useless formulas and sitting in front of the laptop almost 24/7. I really have the impression that my chair is attached to my back!
I'm worried! But at the same time...

I am an artist, a creative person, and a social thinker. I need inspiration in my life.
I used to paint, I used to have a rock and roll band, I used to write about what I loved and I used to hear music of the Rolling Stones! I love photography, and I love filming! I love helping people and cooking great food! And learning about others!

I love new cultures and India inspires me: I love sitar, I love Anoushka Shankar, I love tandoori and colours, I love its food, I love its rituals, its architecture but most importantly: I love Indian people, and I think I have a chance to help them. During my short life I've met wonderful people from India in Europe and now is my time to meet them and to discover more about how they live and what they do in their hometown! My friend Nik is living in Jaipur and he is the best guide I could have. It's been a year since we don't see us and I would really love to meet him again. He's working on a social project to improve air quality and I would like to help him. Think that air pollution kills half a million people everyday: that's unacceptable!

I have saved up some money working in Spain but my big limitation is THE FLIGHT:
Searching in Skyscanner I looked for flights that were about 500-700 euros two-ways. I'm a search engine and believe me, that's the cheapest I found (I think it was a 30 hours flight). That's too much money for a student.
That's why I need your help!

If you help me, I promise you I will:

-1. Keep you updated of my trip: I will create a blog and write daily updates about my experiences and lessons learned.

-2. Send you individual thank-you letters painted by myself!

-3. Create a photography album with all the pictures!

-4. Create a video of the trip and share it with all of you.

-5.  Put your names in my blog!

-6. Sing a special Hindi song for you with a sitar.

-7. Tell you how much I appreciate your help!

-8. Try to help Nik with his incredible project to avoid Air Pollution!

-9. Try to help Indian local communities by analysing the main problems and finding solutions.

-10. Try to make the most of the trip and discover india not as a tourist, but as a local.

This is my chance to CHANGE, help me to make it happen.
Let the adventure begin. I will leave you with a powerful sentence from the film I think best describes my situation now: "Into the wild"

"If you want something in life reach out and grab it."
