My Travel Story

by: Teonna Strickland Start Date: Apr 28, 2018 - End Date: Jan 27, 2019
Hello Every One Thank You For Even Stoping By My Campaign, I Truely Appreciate It. First I Would Like To Imform Thoses Who Are Not Aware Of What JAAGO Is. JAAGO Foundation is a movement initiated by the youth of Bangladesh dedicated to help the impoverished people of Bangladesh. They hope to break the cycle of poverty through the education and rebuilding of Their nation.
Now I know Some May Ask, Why Bangladesh Of All Other Places? Well While I Was In College I Meet A Student Who I Soon After Befriended, Who Was Actually On A Student VISA To Study Here In The US. She Was From Chittagong, Bangladesh. She Told Me So Much about Her Culture And So Much About How poor Her Village Was And How Much Of The People Live In Provery Because It’s A Developing Country, She Was Such An Open Book About Her Life, Showed Photos And Stories. It Made Me Curious And Made Me Want to Look More Into Bangladesh. As I Did More Learning More Research I Come Across This Program, A Chance To Volunteer For JAAGO schools.

I’ve Always Wanted To Grow Up And Do Something For The Less Fortune, I Always Give More Than I Have. If I Knew Someone Needed Something And I Could Help I Would With No Hesitation, That’s Just The Kind Of Person I am. I Also See This As An Opportunity To Gain New Perspective, And Make A Difference Even If It’s A Small Difference I Know It Will Make An Impact On Someone’s Life.
The JAAGO Foundation Really Speaks To Me And I would Like To Make This My First International Project. When I Accomplish This Goal And I Say When Because it Will Happen, I Would Like To Vlog And document Every Part Of It. And I Would Like The Help From All Of You It Would Mean A lot.

Once Again Thank You For Taking The Time To Check Out My Campaign
