Seeking a Stem Cell Cure: A Journey to Freedom!
My Travel Story
Hello, my name is Shawn from Bloomington, Indiana. I am 46 years old and a father of two beautiful children. For 33 years, I have lived with Type 1 Diabetes, a journey that has profoundly shaped my life with resilience and hope.
Despite the challenges of over 35,000 insulin injections, seven surgeries, retinal detachment in one eye, peripheral neuropathy, and sleep disruptions from nerve pain, I have managed my condition with unwavering discipline. This meticulous care has allowed me to avoid severe complications that many of my peers, who have lived with diabetes as long as I have, unfortunately face—such challenges as amputations, blindness, or worse.
For the past 12 years, I have relied on an insulin pump and Continuous Glucose Monitor (CGM), which are permanently attached to my body. These devices have been crucial in managing my blood sugar levels, yet I dream of a future where I am free from these constant medical attachments.
My commitment to my health has been steadfast. For years, I have followed a regimen of supplements and herbs, from AKG to a variety of mushrooms and CBD, alongside practicing intermittent fasting for at least five years. This dedication has resulted in a 25-pound weight loss and a significant improvement in my body's response to low blood sugars. Remarkably, I no longer experience extreme lows, a rare achievement for someone with my history.
Even more astonishing are the three occasions where it seems my body has started producing insulin again. One memorable incident occurred when I forgot my insulin pump at home. As I watched my blood sugar levels rise in real-time via my CGM, I witnessed my levels suddenly drop without any external insulin or physical activity—an event nearly unheard of in the medical community, especially for a Type 1 diabetic of over 30 years.
I stand at the cusp of a profound transformation, believing that through mindfulness, a positive attitude, and disciplined nutrition, exercise, and sleep regimens, I am on the path to reactivating my pancreas. With the promise of stem cell research, I am hopeful that my pancreas will fully come back online, potentially curing type 1 diabetes.
This journey has evolved into a spiritual quest, embracing the possibility of complete healing. I am deeply grateful for the lessons learned and the strength gained through this experience. I humbly invite you to join me on this transformative journey for life-changing procedures. Your support can help turn hope into reality, freeing me from the confines of diabetes. Together, let's embrace this journey and make history. Your kindness and generosity can help me achieve the freedom I've long envisioned and support a brighter, healthier future.
** Update ** I have completed all the applications and scheduled a conference call with the team at DVCSTEM, since 2009 they've been on the forefront of stem cell applications! Check out the group that performs the magic! www.dvcstem.com
